Holly Springs, NC -- November 20, 2006 -- OFM, Inc., a leading manufacturer and distributor of office furniture, commemorated the opening of their new world headquarters in Holly Springs today. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by the owners of OFM Abel and Barbara Zalcberg and their son Blake, as well as over 60 community leaders, business associates, friends, and employees.
“Today is a great day for all of us. With the additional space for product and employees, OFM is catching up to the tremendous growth we have had these last few years, and positioning itself to handle future growth,” said CEO Abel Zalcberg. In 2005, OFM was named one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill area.
The new 124,000-square-foot facility was built on a 10-acre site in the town of Holly Springs, a growing suburb south of the North Carolina capital city Raleigh. The new facility represents a substantial space increase from OFM’s previous 32,000-square-foot building. Included in the new building is an 110,000-square-foot warehouse, as well as a spacious 4,000-square-foot trade-only showroom and 11,000 square feet of office space.
OFM was founded in 1995 as a manufacturer, importer and distributor of innovative and economical office furniture which delivers higher profit margins. OFM’s extensive inventory allows 99% of orders to be shipped within 2 days, which increases cash flow for its large dealer network. OFM supplies Furniture for the Real Office™ for businesses, schools, medical offices, hotels, restaurants, industrial markets, and the Federal government through the GSA program.
